On 8 cores you should be able to get up to 800% (100% per core). An
individual core could max out before that though, you'd need to press
1 on top as Anthony was suggesting to see if that's the case.

Yes, you should be able to increase the cps beyond 70. You can
probably expect to handle at least 200 cps.
