I don't know about tarballs. I need to update a system where the on-site
I.T. guy flatly refuses to allow the server to reach out to the Internet,
because "security". So I don't know how to update the dependencies that FS
needs, so I don't know how useful a tarball is but I'm no big-time developer
at all.
