[Freeswitch-docs] [Freeswitch-users] Verto, Bridging & Bypass Media

I have updated

with a note that bypass_media_after_bridge is not implemented in Verto.

We have a plethora of pages discussing variables, including this variable:

I believe that Stanislav has created and is editing Switch Core Variables since there have been a number of changes with those variables recently.

The other 2 pages have overlap. What is the current thinking on how to handle all these many variables pages?

That is my take: with verto you set bypass-media, you set ignore-early-media, you don't answer, you don't preanswer, and you bridge.
Eg: you don't want to re-invite.

Per Anthony's recommendation it sounds like it.

So I can use bypass_media before bridge and it should keep FS out of the media path?

Let me CC this back to the docs list, maybe we need to update our verto docs to reflect this. If they have questions I'm sure Ítalo and Bote will ask.

Bypass after bridge does not work in verto but regular bypass does.

Not sure its the same, but you're not the first to attempt.

I'm trying to avoid having FreeSWITCH process media for a verto connection and have it skip it and go directly to a bridged endpoint.

I'm trying to bypass media after a bridge, and I'm getting no audio after the following command is executed.

bridge {bypass_media_after_bridge=true,absolute_codec_string=PCMU}sofia/external/<sipuri>

If I do the same thing without bypass_media_after_bridge, everything works ok.

Any ideas?
