[Freeswitch-dev] Missing Python ESL commands

Ok here are the relevant functions. This is not mine.

Several other functions call get_fs_connections() and there is obviously other things going on outside of this but I am quite sure the problem lies within these 2 functions.

And I repeat. Send us the trace back or at least the code you using so I can take a look. The current wrapper is not very fond of Unicode strings on commands for example

Since nobody mentioned any commands missing or the documentation out of date I guess it’s something in my code.

I used the single_command.py example file and inserted the api() command in there and it seems to be working. Since there are no practical python examples on the wiki I guess I will have to try adapt one of the perl, ruby or php examples. Hopefully there are enough breadcrumbs there.

A trace back would help us assist you.

I am trying to talk to Freeswitch using Python ESL for a project I am working on.

I can’t seem to get the api() or sendRecv() commands to work.

http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Event_Socket_Library#sendRecv

I am able to send basic commands like “sofia status” using the single_command.py file included in /libs/esl/python source and I can view events using the included events.py. So I know I have correctly installed Python ESL and have it talking.

I’m wondering if perhaps these commands were removed for some reason and the documentation has not been updated? I am looking through the source right now to see if I can figure out if they are actually there but thought I would post here to see if anyone can enlighten me as to what may be going on here.
