I am trying to talk to Freeswitch using Python ESL for a project I am
working on.

I can't seem to get the api() or sendRecv() commands to work.
http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Event_Socket_Library#sendRecv

I am able to send basic commands like "sofia status" using the
single_command.py file included in /libs/esl/python source and I can view
events using the included events.py. So I know I have correctly installed
Python ESL and have it talking.

I'm wondering if perhaps these commands were removed for some reason and the
documentation has not been updated? I am looking through the source right
now to see if I can figure out if they are actually there but thought I
would post here to see if anyone can enlighten me as to what may be going on
here.
