It's still a bit thin but the wiki has information on using OpenZAP,
which is the FS interface to the zaptel interface:

FS can do virtually of the digital zapatel-compatible cards out there.
Cards by Digium, Sangoma, OpenVox, PIKA, etc. have all been tested.
Personally, I have a Tormenta2 clone from pbxhardware.com and it works
very well. OpenZAP (OZ) currently does NI-2 and DMS100 for PRI, and
work is being done on Euro and 5ESS.

I don't know the state of SS7 on FS yet but I believe there are some who
are working toward it.

Any updates to the wiki would be most appreciated!

Thanks for considering FS. I'm relatively new at it but I think it is
fantastic. The FS community has helped me tremendously with getting my
system up and running. There are plenty of smart guys who will answer
your questions here!
