Because the information is different.  The freeswitch-trunk list has caused
mail client problems when you get a diff of the sofia merge that recently
happened.  As has been said on this list earlier in the thread reading all
the diffs, and everything else its a bit of a bother so people have
unsubscribed.

If individual emails are too large, I am going to go out on a limb and say
that a digest of all of those 'too large' emails in one giant package
probably wouldnt even be delivered at most sites excedding max message
sizes, for those that do allow it, you certainly dont want to download that
on a mobile device with limited bandwidth, and if you did reading it would
be a chore beyond other chores.

What was being suggested was a summary of the SVN commits, only the base
information, so that people could follow development instead of being
overwhelmed and unsubscribing.
