Why can't people just subscribe to the daily digest of the svn list?

/b

Because the information is different. The freeswitch-trunk list has caused mail client problems when you get a diff of the sofia merge that recently happened. As has been said on this list earlier in the thread reading all the diffs, and everything else its a bit of a bother so people have unsubscribed.

If individual emails are too large, I am going to go out on a limb and say that a digest of all of those 'too large' emails in one giant package probably wouldnt even be delivered at most sites excedding max message sizes, for those that do allow it, you certainly dont want to download that on a mobile device with limited bandwidth, and if you did reading it would be a chore beyond other chores.

What was being suggested was a summary of the SVN commits, only the base information, so that people could follow development instead of being overwhelmed and unsubscribing.
