[Freeswitch-users] freeswitch 1.6 without video support

Theres not really a list for this as the video support is integral… all you can really disable is the modules that actually handle the h264 codec like mod_h26x …. Anything else if you are missing deps is properly ifdef’d so as to build correctly.

 

There is a mass misconception that video just doesn’t work on certain platforms (ie: centos) it works fine there, and freeswitch works with and without it there… the whole problem with platforms like centos is required dependancies such as a proper h264 lib or a proper mp3 lib are not included with centos and the FreeSWITCH devs cannot redist those due to US law.

Does anyone have a list of all the modules that can be disabled in /usr/src/freeswitch/modules.conf if video is NOT required?

If you are doing anything new 1.6/master is where you want to be.

Yes, 1.4.x is fully supported, bugfixes, security, and all.
