Thank you for your update to my question on Jira. We will continue to work
on the problem and contribute a patch ourselves if possible.

Its against our etiquette guidelines to update the list and Jira about the
same thing.  It adds 2 things to tend to about the same problem.
Once you have filed a JIRA, there is no need to refer to it here.
