You might also look at the Normalize tool in VLC if they ever got that working. There’s also an AGC (Automatic Gain Control) feature. That would automate it.

See https://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Session_streamFile (I could not find it in Confluence)  I know it works with Shout I am not sure if it works with VLC.

Hi, users.

I am playing streams with mod_vlc. Some streams are higher in volume and other lower. I want to control stream volume by pressing some dtmf. 

Is there any way to do so, like in mod_conference we can increase/decrease volume by pressing some dtmf.
