Another questions ... ( and maybe im just ignorant to this )
Has anyone used Freeswitch on windows, at this scale ?!?

Also if you HAD to go windows, surely you would use a windows server
variant...
not their desktop OS ?!!

The real questions here come down to your application, how many DB calls,
what other services you interact with.  If its IVR with lots of playback,
then you want to store the recordings on a RAM disk, or SSD at minimum.

Also pre-transcode all your recordings to G711, to avoid realtime
transcoding.
