Chris, thank you, I now get french or english on the voicemail depending on the endpoint setting. However, I still do not get French on the IVR, If I can solve that, I am in great shape, any ideas what I might be missing. Your help with this is very much appreciated.

Do you have the french pieces installed, in modules.conf found in the source directory, make sure this line in uncommented say/mod_say_fr, i believe if that parts not installed/done it'll revert back to english.

Chris, thanks for the input, I tried that in several places re your input and the wiki, does not seem to affect anything. Everything still plays in english.

Our default language is 'en', however, about 25% of Canada is French, and we are in the bilingual area, so this becomes important. I will pursue and publish what I find.

I used <action application="set" data="default_language=fr"/> in the dial plans and in the ivr's, no change

        Does this help??

<action application="set" data="default_language=en"/>so you'd run that after your IVR, so wherever it took you, you'd set default_language=<language>

Is it possible to have the default language set to english as an example, then set certain ivr's or voicemail boxes to french. I do not see the settings to allow this and have searched extensively for it.

For the ivr, I would use a basic ivr, 1 for english, 2 for french, then the selected ivr would play the proper languages.

However, some mail boxes need to have english for the default language and some need to have french.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
