[Freeswitch-users] Skypopen.ko on VPS

It depends on the type of virtualisation.

If you're emulating the entire machine (eg VirtualBox, VMWare etc) which
includes a full Linux installation so you're running your own kernel you
can load your own kernel drivers. Skypopen will work on these.

But there's also a container-based approach (eg see openvz) where you're in
a partition of a shared installation with a shared kernel. On such a setup
you can't load kernel drivers since it would affect all users and thus be a
security flaw if it were allowed. You can't use skypopen on these.
