Since that wiki page was created a chunk of the sofia profile work was
pulled out of that thread and pushed into other threads. So I doubt that
is the issue you are hitting.

How are you getting the 12.5% cpu usage number? If you are on linux and
you are running 'top' then that means you are using on average 12.5% of
one of your 8 cores. For your call count, and core count this seems more
likely.
