For interested parties: Built HEAD 1.5.6 from scratch on OSX 10.8.5 and Xcode 4.6.3 and all works fine. (except for fs-5375 and fs-5223 which I am still working on). Will update OS X wiki pages when wiki logon is fixed. Mario G
