I'm not at the moment but you're not the first person to ask me about LDAP.
What do you want to use LDAP for? Just the directory? I believe there is a
mod_ldap which can already handle that, but querying LDAP in <insert
language here> and formatting the result as XML in the form freeswitch is
expecting shouldn't be difficult.
