[Freeswitch-users] get info from DB into channel variable in xml dialplan

My guess is that if you want/need to skip Lua then you'll need to do some
regex magic to parse out the response data. However, I'm wondering what the
aversion to Lua is. It's ridiculously light and it's pretty easy to use.
What's the downside?
