It means doing a reINVITE that pulls you out of the signalling/media path.
FS can do it:

Not sure if there's a term for it in SIP, but it sounds like this is the
same thing.

If they're actually on the call to them then I guess you can unbridge,
bridge them to the other parked party, then do the simplify.
