Can the voicemail msgs (*.wav) be saved to the db as well?

If you are using odbc to connect to your database, http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Using_ODBC_in_the_core

Then tell mod_voicemail about the DB via this param in autoload_configs/voicemail.conf.xml:

      <param name="odbc-dsn" value="dsn:user:pass"/>
