Or you can use MySQL directly (through ODBC) from within FreeSWITCH by  
using Lua:

http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Lua#freeswitch.Dbh

and:

http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Lua_freeswitch_dbh
