you will probably need to remove the DTMF bindings for volume, mute
etc from your conference.

ive been playing with a similar thing ( in conf still ) over the last few days
and ive been able to build whatever DTMF functionality I like, by
removing all conference control bindings and handling all the DTMF
events in an ESL deamon
