Hi, 

yes, you can install on Windows Server 2008.  The best way is using ESL (managed ESL). 
You have to make sure you have permissions on the windows firewall to connect to a socket with FS.

you can also use the esl wrapper in /libs/esl/managed which may prove easier
to support
