[Freeswitch-users] Alarm Receiver for FreeSWITCH?

Alarmreceiver is an Asterisk application for the security industry. From 
the description of the module, "This application emulates an SIA 
(Ademco) Contact ID alarm receiver. The Contact ID protocol is the most 
popular signalling protocol used between alarm panels and central stations."

In a nutshell, an alarm panel calls an phone number connected to the 
switch.  The switch answers and waits for a series of DTMF tones.  The 
switch and panel communicate by exchanging tones.  The panel closes the 
connection and the switch takes action.  From what I've been able to 
understand, the switch records the event in a file.

 From my perusal of the FS documentation I believe this same 
functionality can be performed by a FS module but since I haven't 
actually written modules I'm obviously not aware of the limitations.  So 
my question is, "is this something that can actually be done?"
