[Freeswitch-users] [ERR] switch_rtp.c:2196FailedDTMFpayloadcheck.

Ahh,

OK, then I'll need to go and do some work on it. WireShark is not installed on the machine. I've never used it, although I do have a copy, so I'll look at installing in on the server and go from there,

regards
Dave

You can grab one with wireshark.

    Some more info . . .

The error only seems to occur when a "0" is entered.

Looking at the Phone config, the RFC2833 options are :-

    In Band
Out of Band (RFC2833) - currently selected
    SIP Info

RTP Payload Type (96-127) - 96 currently selected
RTP DTMP Level (0-63) - 0 Currently selected

      Hi Mathieu,

if you tell me how to generate one, I'll do it now ?

I don't recall any rfc2833 changes in the past 2 weeks. I would like to see a packet capture of those bogus rtp packets though.

          Hi,

          thanks Brian.

The device is a Thomson ST2030 which has a basic listing on the Interop Wiki page, but does not specifically mention rfc2833 (although rtp is marked as "not tested"). I have not seen this message before while running the FS version that I'm currently using 16543 - yes, I know that this is a few weeks old and I will update and/or raise a bug once I've upgraded, but it would be nice to know if anyone else sees problems with this phone,

          regards

It usually means your device can't do rfc2833 correctly and needs to have a bug opened so they can fix it.

It appears in response to keypad events during voicemail retrieval, the prompts were actioned correctly, but I was wondering what the message actually means ?
