  no, like I said you must reserve the ports you allocated to FreeSWITCH, to FreeSWITCH.
  It is smart enough to not use the same ports but it won't deal with something else stealing one of them, it will hangup the call with a port error.


  The port is already reserved before it is ever actually open and by the time you realize it's already taken it's too late to do anything about it.  Opening it ahead is a giant waste of resources and would cost you in call volume and CPS.

        failure to bind to a port results in a dropped call. 
        you must allocate the ports to be exclusive to FreeSWITCH if you want to a avoid that.
