As with anything, somebody needs to be motivated enough to do it. I just 
thought it would kill about four birds with one stone, and probably not 
be a heck of a lot harder than writing a native client interface. It 
would automatically open up the possibility of dialling directly from 
Outlook, which supports TAPI diallers out of the box. No plugins required.
