[Freeswitch-users] iChat AV support (over XMPP/Jabber)

I looked through the mailing list archives but couldn't find any
information on this, but are there any plans to add a module
supporting the way iChat does audio/video over XMPP?

I found the following page, <http://vil.du.no/projects/ichat-research/
 >, which has some information on how iChat does the initial
handshake over XMPP and then claims it switches to SIP for the audio/
video negotiation.

This got me thinking it may not be very difficult to implement
support in FreeSWITCH, but i'm merely a user of these sort of
technologies and don't have a good understanding so could be wrong.

It would be really great if you could support iChat in the future as,
while iChat remains one of the best audio/video clients, using it to
communicate with anyone not on a Mac is a real pain and i've become
doubtful that Apple will update it to more standard ways of doing
things in the near future (Jingle or making it a full SIP softphone
client).

Thanks for your time.
