With bridge app, Freeswitch is able to place calls to multiple extensions simultaneously. But with originate, is it possible? If Yes, can anyone give me an example.
The timeout option with originate also does not seem to work correctly.
Timeout is not working (rings like a normal call and does not terminate within the given timeout) if i do something like this - newSession.originate(session, "user/1001@192.168.1.1",5);
However it works if another extension is added with a comma - newSession.originate(session, "user/1001@192.168.1.1,user/9999@192.168.1.1 ",5);
In the second ex, It does not call 9999 but the call disconnects exactly after 5 seconds.
I also tried the same with event_socket using api commands directly. The results are same.
OS: Windows XP SP2 Compiler: Visual Studio 2008
Thanks. B Karthik
Can you clarify what you're doing. Create a small test case and post that along with instructions on how you're create this scenario that will help greatly on my part. /b On Aug 18, 2008, at 8:57 AM, B Karthik wrote:

the originate method should only be called on a session that was created with no arguments to the constructor. For an existing session you should use session.execute("bridge", "<originate string>"); the timeout can be set inside the originate string with the {} variables. "{call_timeout=5}sofia/dest/user@host.com" Everything inside the originate string is identical to anything that takes the originate arg, including the originate CLI FSAPI command, the bridge app and that originate method to embedded langs. Hi all, I try to use mod_xml_cdr for posting CDR records to my web server but without luck. The situation is as follows: 1. I utilize mod_xml_curl to serve configuration, directory and dialplan to the FreeSWITCH - it works very well. 2. On the same web server I prepare cdr.php file to work with CDR (normalize, insert to DB etc.) 3. When I test mentioned file from www browser (localy or remotly), everything works fine. 4. When I fire the call, after it ends I see: [ERR] mod_xml_cdr.c:184 my_on_hangup() Got error [0] posting to web server [https://192.168.1.125/fs/cdr.php] and the CDR is saved to the HDD 5. If I check apache logs (access|error|request|whatever) I can't see any request sent to cdr.php BTW: I load mod_xml_cdr in post_load_modules.conf and the config is: <configuration name="xml_cdr.conf" description="XML CDR CURL logger"> <settings> <param name="url" value="https://192.168.1.125/fs/cdr.php"/> <param name="retries" value="2"/> <param name="delay" value="5"/> <param name="log-dir" value=""/> <param name="log-b-leg" value="true"/> <param name="ignore-cacert-check" value="true" /> </settings> </configuration> I'm sure I miss something important, but don't know what :-) Any suggestion is very welcome... Good point :-) Yes, it works... BTW: mod_xml_curl works with SSL very well with identical setup, so why mod_xml_cdr doesn't? If FreeSWITCH and web server are not on the same machine, I prefer to use safer https... Thank you very much, Jonas, for your help! Best regards, kokoska.rokoska

That would indicate your curl wasn't compiled with SSL support eh? ;) /b On Aug 19, 2008, at 9:02 AM, kokoska rokoska wrote:

Yes, it works! :-) Thank you very much, Anthony, for quick fix! And many thanks to all for valuable help... BTW: I'm still very impressed (last few month) how fast are all FreeSWITCH issues solved. I have never seen it on the other project. Thank you! Best regards, kokoska.rokoska
