Max registrations per extension
Hi, I am trying to limit the number of registrations using a specific extension (e.g 1000) to only 1 per time. To do it I am setting the "max-registrations-per-extension" variable to "1". The problem is that when I do it, the extension 1000 becomes forbidden to make calls :( Can someone explain it to me? Is it a bug? -- Rafael Santana Oliveira Mestre em Ciência da Computação
You perhaps have multiple clients that are registering as the same extension and therefore over writing on each other. Regards, Ali Pey On Tue, Nov 26, 2013 at 7:15 PM, Rafael Santana <rafaelstnoliveira@gmail.com

The max registrations per extension parameter should have no effect on an extensions ability to make a call, only how to receive a call. Thanks for the answers guys. I know it is weird, but it is exactly what is happening :( When I set the max-registrations-per-extension variable to "1", I am allowed to perform only one registration (as desired) and none call. I get a forbidden message from my softphone when I do attempt to initiate a Call. []'s 2013/11/30 Russell Treleaven <rtreleaven@bunnykick.ca>

If all you want to allow is a single registration then just set multiple-registrations to false https://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Sofia-SIP#Multiple_Registrations Thanks, Moishe Grunstein Tornado Computer Systems, Inc. 212.400.7650 888.IPPBX.US Service Request Email: support@nysolutions.com<mailto:support@nysolutions.com> Polycom Certified VAR Microsoft Small Business Specialist, Cisco SMB Select Certified [cid:image001.jpg@01C72F94.9EE45D60]<http://www.nysolutions.com/> Computer Networking * Managed Services * IP Video Surveillance * Network Assessments * Web Solutions * Voice over IP * Disaster Recovery * Network Security * Site Surveys * CMS From: freeswitch-users-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org [mailto:freeswitch-users-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] On Behalf Of Rafael Santana Sent: Monday, December 02, 2013 5:46 AM To: FreeSWITCH Users Help Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] Max registrations per extension Thanks for the answers guys. Hi Grunstein, Set multiple-registrations to false did not work. Reading the documentation, I understood that the role of this param is different from what I am trying to do, or I got it wrong. Thanks :)
