is it possible to have FS bind to certain type of softphone?
normally a SIP REGISTER request will contain information about the terminal like: User-Agent: X-LITE 3.0 so is it possible to have FS reject all softphone registering requests except, for example, X-LITE, without changing FS source code? BR
There is little point in doing so - a SIP client can choose to send anything it likes in that header. It would be trivial to bypass such a restriction. -Steve On 20 June 2013 11:16, Vincent Xia <gmangudai@gmail.com> wrote:

You can probably do this with the "user-agent-filter" parameter that has some notes / descriptions here: http://jira.freeswitch.org/browse/FS-2720 But, I'd have to concur with Steven -- changing the user agent presented by a client is generally pretty simple and this would only be useful as a first, basic line of defense. -Gabe On Thu, Jun 20, 2013 at 6:16 AM, Vincent Xia <gmangudai@gmail.com> wrote:

kindly remind, for a single regular expression, ^ and $ should be removed from value attribute, or the auth will fail. 2013/6/21 Vincent Xia <gmangudai@gmail.com>
