PCMU codec issue (mismatch?) resulting in Incompatible Destination
Hi Everyone, I had a Raspberry Pi installation of the latest FreeSWITCH 1.2 branch running on Gentoo. It was working great, but my SD card packed it in. I thought I would try something different, so I loaded up Raspbian and installed FreeSWITCH via Fusionpbx script. I registered my Panasonic KX-TPA50 phone, but when doing a test call to MoH or echo, I get an incompatible destination error. Looks like a codec mismatch. Not sure what to look for though. I presume it's just a setting somewhere. Both FreeSWITCH and the phone have PCMU, but something is different in the comparison as can be seen here: [DEBUG] switch_core_media.c:3475 Audio Codec Compare [PCMU:0:8000:30:32000:1]/[PCMU:0:8000:20:64000:1] I understand the 8000, but I don't know what the other mismatched numbers are or where to look to change a setting to get them to match. The same mismatched numbers show when it compares G722 and PCMA. Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks, Jason
I think that the 20 and 30 refer to 20ms or 30ms packetizing. The 32000 and 64000 are the sampling rates. You probably need to install all of the sounds with: make cd-sounds-install cd-moh-install This will install the music and prompts in all the different sampling rates. Thanks for the reply. Some of the sound sampling rates were not there, but the issue still persists. I have done some more searching and came across a thread on the mailing list from June that talks about a Raspberry Pi compiler issue causing the codec mismatch issue. It didn't come up in the search results until I searched Google for "pcmu 32000." I will try updating gcc to 4.7 and see if that does the trick. Thanks again, Jason On Sat, Sep 6, 2014 at 5:03 PM, Guillermo Ruiz Camauer <grcamauer@gmail.com> wrote:

I had that issue as well. There was a bug in gcc described here: https://quentusrex.com/freeswitch-raspberrypi-gcc-compiler-bug.html try updating to gcc 4.7. On Sun, Sep 7, 2014 at 5:15 AM, Moishe Grunstein <max@nysolutions.com> wrote:

Couldn't upgrade Raspbian to gcc-4.7 for some reason. Had to go to 4.8. Rebuilt FreeSWITCH and problem solved. Thanks, Jason On Sun, Sep 7, 2014 at 12:18 AM, Shlomi Agiv <shlomi.agiv@cell-buddy.com> wrote:
