opus crashing freeswitch?
Hi, Is anyone aware of an issue with implementing the opus codec on freeswitch? We have recently implemented opus and ever since the switch has crashed every hour or so. The logs show nothing around the time of the crash so I am thinking it is deep in the opus module. We are running the latest stable version 1.2.23. Any help you could offer would be appreciated. Regards Chris
If you unload opus everything is fine? Hi, I have created a Jira entry FS-6556 with the gdb core output in pastebin 22621. We are currently running 1.2.23 stable. I know that you will probably want me to test on master however this will not compile on centos 5.5 (needs 6 for all the dependencies) and we can only reproduce on our production servers which are 5.5. Upgrading centos on production just to test is a major logistical nightmare so if you could indicate if this could be the issue by looking at the dump before having to go that far it would be greatly appreciated. Please advise anything else you need from me to progress this further. Many thanks Chris From: freeswitch-users-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org [mailto:freeswitch-users-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] On Behalf Of Brian West Sent: 10 May 2014 20:17 To: FreeSWITCH Users Help Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] opus crashing freeswitch? Hi, I had to do some quick changes to try and alleviate the problem and I isolated all opus calls through 1 freeswitch deployment. Strangely all the crashes stopped? Before, when the opus calls were distributed among all the switches, it was causing them all to crash every 30-60 minutes? We never noticed the issue during testing and the crashing seems to increase with volume of traffic. I now need to try and recreate the scenario in a more controlled environment so I can get a backtrace and report it correctly. Will come back when I have more info. Regards Chris P.S I just reverted, the opus codec module is still loaded in the above switches. You can find out if the issue is in opus or not by looking at the backtrace of the core file. https://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Reporting_Bugs On May 9, 2014, at 11:15 AM, Chris Martineau <chris@ghosttelecom.com> wrote:
