Sofia recover without Floating-IP
Guys, I have FS1 and FS2 on say 2 different data centers and have different IPs. They do share the data via MariaDB, Now due to some limitation, I cannot use a floating-IP. Is it possible for me to "recover" calls from FS1 to FS2 when FS1 goes down and I issue "sofia recover from "fs2" ? i.e master-master sort of scenario. Also, can I recover conference calls using sofia recover ? Thank you, Sharath
The FreeSWITCH call recovery feature is designed around also failing over the ip. On Monday, June 8, 2015, Sharath Kumar <Sharath.Kumar@mezocliq.com> wrote:

Michael, Just to clarify, “failing over the ip” implies using a floating ip correct ? What we do is have an external app that is connected to tcp port on FS1 and 2. When a socket connection error is detected by n nodes we update the database and change the IPs to the "good" instance and then do a Sofia recover. This causes a reinvite and then rtp path to change to the good instance. On Tue, Jun 9, 2015 at 1:30 PM Sharath Kumar <Sharath.Kumar@mezocliq.com> wrote:

Does anyone knows what happens with nibblebill when calls are recovered in the new active stack? Thanks a lot GM
