mod_unimrcp with Nuance "Timed out waiting for channel to be ready"
I'm using mod_unimrcp module with the Nuance Speech Server 5.1 and I'm getting the "Timed out waiting for channel to be ready" when trying to use TTS. This is using MRCP v2 and FS trunk rev 17126. I've not used MRCP and I am stuck. Any suggestions? Thanks Adam
I don't remember which error conditions cause that problem. Can you show me a trace of your call and the MRCP profile you used? On Tue, Mar 30, 2010 at 9:57 PM, Adam Meehan <adam.meehan@gmail.com> wrote:

Here is the trace http://pastebin.freeswitch.org/12595 I have just used the default Nuance V2 profile that comes with FS. http://pastebin.freeswitch.org/12596 I've turned off iptables in case of any firewall issues on both the FS and Nuance server. Thanks for the help. Adam
Looks like unimrcp sent the SIP INVITE to the MRCP server and never received a reply. The INVITE's SDP has a loopback address in there, so I think you need to explicitly set the "client-ip" and "rtp-ip" instead of using auto. Yes that did the trick. I also had to explicit set the IP on the Nuance server. I wasn't paying attention to which server would be using the IP being transmitted in the trace. Makes perfect sense now. I'm now getting an error from the MRCP client on hangup, but I will see I can solve it myself. Otherwise I will start another thread. Thank you Adam
