My FS default installation provided me voice menus in English with USA accent. Can this be changed to perhaps English with Austrailian, British or So. Africa accents? What if I want spanish, french or russian etc?
This site provide different languages for reasonable rates: http://www.westany.com/freeswitch You can also try to use asterisk voices (but I don't know anything about the licence, though). And BTW, this isn't a bad question after all; can somebody give me the best methodology to record my own voices? Especially: is it better to record long texts and postprod cut/edit them, or is it better to only record sentences and words? And is there an URL to download pre-defined texts for that? you can find the list of voice prompt phrases under freeswitch source code directory: docs/phrase/phrase_en.xml - for English phrase list for other languages are available, too. -nandy On Thu, Jun 21, 2012 at 4:48 AM, Bzzz <lazyvirus@gmx.com> wrote:

Do you have a language set? If so most of the work is done in conf/lang/en/en.xml where you set the base path for the language. You just need to make sure that your other language set has the same structure as the callie sounds we have. Also, if you have an alternate set of English prompts we'd love to make those globally available, assuming they aren't under a draconian license... -MC On Wed, Jun 20, 2012 at 1:21 PM, <toddb@toddbailey.net> wrote:

Yes, they do. Check the archives; there are 10 of thousands of emails. Not everyone will find your question interesting and choose to reply. Still, good luck. Gabe
