I am looking to migrate out of an old KX-T61610 system. I plan to support up to 16 old analog phone lines - so I'm looking for something I can plug into my server provides 16 analog extension connections. ( Best would be something that supported the old Panasonic KX-t phones - but I doubt that exists.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Karl Schmidt EMail Karl@xtronics.com Transtronics, Inc. Wow, that old KX-T61610 was what I converted from years ago. Those phones can work as a simple analog phone when you put the switch on the phone into "POWER OUT" mode (I forget the exact name), and you will need to wire them without the PBX. But…. they are only an analog 2 wire phone, there will be no features such as transfer, etc You could buy devices that will convert the phones to sip, but you will still have no features, caller ID will not even work. In the end you will spend a lot for very little. Look into inexpensive SIP phones, we just converted to a few Yealink T32s but there are cheaper ones (we actually converted most phones to iPads with Bria, they are used many things not just phones). If you are worried about not having ethernet to all locations they work great with wireless bridges. Mario G On Jun 28, 2013, at 2:40 PM, Saugort Dario Garcia Tovar <dgarcia@anew.com.ve> wrote:

The phones are worn out anyway - but I was thinking it would be better to use something loop powered.. or I could use PoE ..

The Sangoma run about $1600/ea - or over $3k for 24 lines.. Cards in the computer.. or $125/line The GXW4008 is a network device - provides 8 FXS ports for $173 or $22/line or GXW4024 at $20 w/power supply or $17/line wifi voip phones - about $200/line Thanks for the info - puzzled as to why phone PCI cards would be so much more than a system. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Karl Schmidt EMail Karl@xtronics.com Transtronics, Inc.
