Internal profile not showing
Hi, I have installed Freeswitch from git in my Ubuntu 11.10. There are some default sip users in prefix/conf/directory/default/1000.xml to 1019.xml. But when I try to register one extension to IP Phone or Softphone the account is not registered and responding as Authentication failuere. 403 Forbidden error, even though I have changed the password in 1000.xml file. Also in FS CLI I am not able to see the output for "sofia status profile internal". Please advice. Regards.
Hi, Does your softphone runs on the same machine as freeswitch ? Maybe your softphone already binds to the 5060 port and freeswitch can't start the internal profile which also listens on 5060. What it is the output of "sofia status" command ? 2012-01-23 13:12 keltezéssel, Gopalakrishnan N írta:

What MikeJ said is entirely true: 99% of the time when a sip profile fails to start it is because the IP address does not exist or the port is already in use. You can try some sanity checks like manually specifying a different port and/or IP address and restarting. Hi guys, Finally I registered with port 5080, I dont know why freeswitch is listening in port 5080. Actually in the same machine I have Asterisk installed, I hope this could be the reason but even then I have stopped asterisk. While checking with this command "*netstat -lnptu" *I found Freeswitch is listening in 5080. Anyways thanks for all your comments. Finally I registered with port 5080, I dont know why freeswitch is listening in port 5080.
Actually in the same machine I have Asterisk installed, I hope this could be the reason but even then I have stopped asterisk.
While checking with this command "*netstat -lnptu" *I found Freeswitch is listening in 5080.

You can try some sanity checks like manually specifying a different port and/or IP address and restarting. If the profile comes up then you know you've got a conflict somewhere.
