Bind to multiple ports with Sofia
Hi guys, I need to bind to multiple ports with Sofia. If I start one profile per port, I cannot get a consistent registration table working. A domain can only be aliased to one profile if my understanding is correct. If you have a working set up, I'd appreciate some advice. Thanks, Emrah
You can have any number of domains on different profiles... If you just need 1 domain everywhere check the force domain options on the sip profile configs (I believe they are used in the default example configs On 4/28/13 8:42 AM, "Emrah" <lists@kavun.ch> wrote:

You mean the REDIRECT target? Because if so, that is not the proper way to do it. It changes the connection port, but freeswitch is unaware if this change and the sdp data is gonna the carry the original port. And you get an unstable switch configuration. I have never told you redirect. I tell you to play with nat prerouting chain. Read iptables manual, the way you deploy depends on your infrastructure. LD El abr 28, 2013 11:43 a.m., "Daniel Ivanov" <sertys@gmail.com> escribió:

What does SDP data have to do with the SIP listening ports? The problem you could run into with using NAT rules for this is if the UA on the users side decides to actually follow the contacts and such in the SIP headers... As long as you arent fixing¹ the RTP ports or over stepping what ports are available for the RTP stream, the SDP is unaffected (or can be worked around using a smaller/different range for rtp ports in switch.conf.xml On 4/28/13 10:39 AM, "Daniel Ivanov" <sertys@gmail.com> wrote:

Yeah, Ken. You're actually right. It might mess the sip routing, not the rtp routing. And netfilter(iptables) has 2 primary targets in the prerouting chain - DNAT and REDIRECT. you would obviously wanna use redirect, because it sends traffic to localhost on a predefined port. But i have no idea whether UAs follow sip headers or internal ipv4 data. There is a big chance NAT handling would screw up imho. On Apr 28, 2013 7:16 PM, "Ken Rice" <krice@freeswitch.org> wrote:

Hi Ken, Even with the force-domain option, I can register on a different port but will not be found via sofia_contact user@domain. My impression is that only one profile can alter the register table. If the 5070 profile is up first, than my registrations will work on port 5070 only. If it's the main one on 5060 that comes up first, my contacts on 5070 disappear. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks a bunch for your help, Emrah On Apr 28, 2013, at 7:14 AM, Ken Rice <krice@freeswitch.org> wrote:
