Hello, I use the following code to call VoIP speakers and make an announcement: <extension name="security_announcement"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^9001$"> <action application="set" data="conference_auto_outcall_caller_id_name=security_announcement"/> <action application="set" data="conference_auto_outcall_id_number=9001"/> <action application="set" data="conference_auto_outcall_timeout=60"/> <action application="set" data="conference_auto_outcall_flags=mute"/> <action application="set" data="conference_auto_outcall_announce=announcement/announcement_security_delay.wav"/> <action application="conference_set_auto_outcall" data="user/1021@$${domain}"/> <action application="conference_set_auto_outcall" data="user/1022@$${domain}"/> <action application="conference" data="conf_speaker@profilespeaker_announcement"/> </condition> </extension> 1021 and 1022 are the speakers. At the end of the announcement, since there is no noise anymore, the speakers stop listening but they do not send any messages to tell Freeswitch it can close the opened channels. The channels are closed only after a timeout of 5 minutes. Does anybody know how I could force freeswitch to close all the channels after the announcement? I have seen there is the application sched_hangup but when I used it it only closes the channel to the caller and not the other ones. Thanks a lot for your help and Happy Holidays! What do you mean they close (hangup) after the 5 minute timeout? /b On Dec 22, 2008, at 7:35 AM, Carole O. wrote:

Hello, When I do a "show channels" in the cli the channels to the speakers are listed even if the speakers have stopped transmitting. If I call the speakers again freeswitch create new channels. If I do a "show channels" again I can see the old and new ones. If I can keep doing this, each time new channels are created while the old ones are still there. I have noticed after 5 minutes the channels that are not used anymore close. I believed there was a kind of timeout to detect the channels that are not in use. What I would like to know is if there is a way to close from these channels the dialplan . Thanks, Carole Brian West-3 wrote:

Well in this context the phones need to hangup... they aren't going to do so automatically. So you'll need to hang up on them or they will need to hangup... or you can kick everyone from the conference with an api command. /b On Dec 23, 2008, at 1:03 AM, Carole O. wrote:

Hello, Happy New Year!!!! Yes, I am calling a group of people but those are actually speakers so unfortunately they can not decide to hang up alone at the end of a speech or an announcement and somebody has to kick them out. The only thing the speakers can do is stop transmitting after a long silence but they don't send a "BYE" to freeswitch so the channels between them and freeswitch are not closed (the api command "show channels" keeps listing them). I have seen the application sched_hangup but if I use it in the dialplan it seems to concern just the caller of the extension. Do you have an idea to use it for all the members of a conference? Just as you know, I am aware there is the application api_hangup_hook but I don't want the speakers to get kicked when the caller hangs up. (There are cases where the caller just wants a file to be played through the speakers and does not need to wait for the end before it hangs up). I am going to try to see if there is not a solution on the speakers' side but if someone has a any other ideas that I missed... Thanks, Carole Brian West-3 wrote:
