freeswitch path layout issue in 1.6
Hello,
From what I see in 1.6 (I've used 1.4 since now) the layout path changed (I like the new one :) ). For example the logs are in :
logfiledir: /var/log/freeswitch This is working nice but in case you specify when you start FS -base = /usr/local/something then all other path's are not respecting any longer the layout and for example the logs are in : /usr/local/something/log instead /usr/local/something//var/log/freeswitch Basically is switching to the old layout from FS 1.4 is this expected or it's a bug ? Silviu
depends on how FreeSWITCH is built and configure args. The defaults in the build did not change from 1.4 to 1.6. The packages do use paths consistent with distro requirements . You probably never want to set basedir unless you are using prefix like we do in default usr/local installs On Friday, August 12, 2016, Caragea Silviu <silviu.cpp@gmail.com> wrote:

Hello, I'm using prefix and also basedir in both 1.4 and 1.6 but seems in 1.6 I need to pass to confugure also --enable-fhs=false . Silviu On Sat, Aug 13, 2016 at 10:03 AM, Michael Jerris <mike@jerris.com> wrote:

That is correct, in 1.6, if you use prefix, it will default to fhs unless you disable it.
