Hi all, is there any way for FS to consume registration records from a custom database, for example, location table of Kamailio? Or on a on-demand basis, making a Redis query for example. Thanks, -- Carlos http://caruizdiaz.com
What are you looking to do with those? On Sep 27, 2014, at 3:00 PM, Carlos Ruiz Díaz <carlos.ruizdiaz@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi Michael, I'm trying to figure out how to setup a ring group on FS, but using the registration data already available on Kamailio. Maybe, I'm getting things wrong here, I'm a first time user of FS. Thanks, Carlos On Sat, Sep 27, 2014 at 2:08 PM, Michael Jerris <mike@jerris.com> wrote:

If you are looking to use remote logic to pick the extension, maybe lua would work, or some other script using mod_xml_curl to generate the dialplan dynamically. On Sep 27, 2014, at 3:29 PM, Carlos Ruiz Díaz <carlos.ruizdiaz@gmail.com> wrote:

Yep, I thought of that, but, how would FS know where the subscribers are if the location info is outside of its database? Regards, Carlos On Sat, Sep 27, 2014 at 3:22 PM, Michael Jerris <mike@jerris.com> wrote:

you would use either your script that responds to mod_xml_curl or something in lua to actually look them up in the remote db and generate the appropriate dial strings. On Sep 27, 2014, at 4:26 PM, Carlos Ruiz Díaz <carlos.ruizdiaz@gmail.com> wrote:

Well, that makes a lot of sense. Thank you :). I'll try to implement that. Regards, Carlos On Sat, Sep 27, 2014 at 3:36 PM, Michael Jerris <mike@jerris.com> wrote:

then you just send a normal SIP INVITE to Kamailio and let it route the messages to the users. On FreeSWITCH, this would be a normal bridge command with "gateway/mykamailio/username" or something like that. "user/xxx" notation is only usable for locally registered users, but ring group will work with normal gateway endpoints as well.
