Very simple query: If I configure my (external) gateway to use SRTP/ZRTP/SKYPE and then configure all my internal clients to register to FS using "regular" (understand unsecured) sip, would it be possible to route (i.e make and receive) calls between the gateway and the internally registered clients? If so, what are the likely problems I could face? Many thanks!
I really love how you think this is a simple query. But the answer is YES. And the problems are too many depending on environment! On Feb 20, 2012, at 11:32 AM, Josh wrote:

I really love how you think this is a simple query. But the answer is YES. :-)
And the problems are too many depending on environment! Could you elaborate a little please? I am planning to deploy FS in such a way that to secure outside voice/data streams (all such calls will be routed to an external sip proxy), but use regular sip within the internal network. What sort of problems could I be facing (are they OS-related, SIP/(S)RTP or something else)?
Get well soon Brian!
you should really just read up not that situation... or contact consulting@freeswitch.org for some professional consulting time... thats a very complex subject as brian said depending on your exact specific goals On Mon, Feb 20, 2012 at 12:48 PM, Josh <mojo1736@privatedemail.net> wrote:
