need help with new setup
I'm new to Freeswitch but have some experience w/Asterisk. I need help switching over. I have two trunks (Broadvoice SIP and PSTN) All extensions are SIP and there are several. What files do I need to edit? sofia.conf for SIP? What about the PSTN? How do I route some calls over SIP and others over PSTN? How do I configure incoming calls from PSTN? Anyone have a sample Broadvoice config that you can send me? Also, which config file does Freeswitch use by default? freeswitch or freeswitch_combined?
Robert, The wiki has many examples of this. http://wiki.freeswitch.org also Join the IRC channel people are there pretty much 24/7 to answer questions. We only ask that you help document things that might be missing. /b On Jul 21, 2007, at 4:17 PM, Robert La Ferla wrote:

Thanks. I will try that tonight. I was and still am planning on documenting everything. I couldn't find a how-to for new users on the wiki but maybe I didn't look in the right places.
The biggest thing I see for new users is they come from other telephony projects and have a preconception on how things work. I even fell into that a few times along the way and I'm in the thick of the development of FreeSWITCH. Remember this is a new way of thinking and a new way to accomplish tasks. If you can keep that mind set you'll be good. /b On Jul 21, 2007, at 6:40 PM, Robert La Ferla wrote:
