getting a list of jJOB UUIDs currently running in background
Hello all. Sometime ago, I don't remember exactly where, don't know if here in the mailing list or jira or somewhere else, I do remember seeing someone showing how to run a lua script in background with 'luarun' and obtaining a job-uuid for that background thread/script which could be used If I'm not mistaken to control that background job including killing it using 'uuid_kill'. Is this achievable? At present time I want to be able to launch a lua script in background a get a uuid for it something similar to a process id which I can use to check If the script is still running and eventually use uuid_kill on it. If someone can elaborate on how to achieve this I'll be very pleased and thankful. Looking forward to hear from you. We do not have any job control functionality. On Thu, Apr 6, 2017 at 12:54 PM, Nuno Reis <nreis@wavecom.pt> wrote:

Thanks for the fast reply Anthony. I guess that would be something nice to have, which I would put on my wish list for future functionality. For now I'll just program a less elegant also probably less efficient workaround on my specific use case. Maybe you can find what you are looking for in the book "Mastering FreeSWITCH". You can fire a script in the background with luarun passing the call uuid, and from the script then you can stop using uuid_kill the current foreground command. This is misleading. You can launch a lua script on a session and kill it that way. There is no job control whatsoever for non session based lua scripts running in the background. It would be a nice feature, but its not one that exists today.
