Hi, I've just managed to get FreeSWITCH installed. I'm using the default config files which works fine with X-Lite. The problem is, I can't use any other softphone other than X-Lite. i've tried YakaPhone, Zoiper, Adore Softphone, QuteCom, and Linphone. I'd normally not say this is a problem, but X-Lite is having issues with my Netgear router (it causes it to continually restart ... there are other posts about this elsewhere and the solutions aren't working.) The only other relevant thing I can think of to add to this topic is that X-Lite, on its first registration always gives me a timeout error, and then successfully registers. After a few minutes, the router reboots. Matt

I'm going to have to guess that you're doing this all on the same machine? /b On Jun 3, 2009, at 8:20 AM, Matthew Lockwood wrote:

SPI disabled. There's no obvious option to disable SIP ALG, but NAT filtering was changed from secure to open. Problem still persists. On Wed, Jun 3, 2009 at 8:36 AM, Raymond Chandler <intralanman@freeswitch.org

SPI or SIP ALG on the router?

Thats not the problem.. Phone registers to freeswitch has 192.168.0.100 in the sip packet... FS sends a challenge back to 192.168.0.100 which obviously will FAIL cuz that network isn't anywhere near the VPS box... Go to the FreeSWITCH box and type "sofia profile internal siptrace on" and I'll suspect you see this exact behavior. /b On Jun 3, 2009, at 10:42 AM, Matthew Lockwood wrote:

Okay, I did that. I first ran it using X-Lite (which does connect on the second try; the first one always times out) - there was lots of output. When I tried it with Zoiper, YakaPhone, and Adore Softphone ... nothing. They just time out. M On Wed, Jun 3, 2009 at 10:39 AM, Matthew Lockwood < matthew.lockwood@gmail.com> wrote:

There are no error messages - there's literally nothing with the other SIP clients. Any client other than X-Lite (which causes my Netgear router to reboot incessantly) fails to register; X-Lite would work like a charm if it weren't for my router. Also, it may be useful to know that X-Lite's first connection attempt always fails with a timeout (and there is no CLI output); the second attempt is always successful (and, of course, there is lots of output). At this stage, I'm figuring one of two solutions to my sleepless night (other than going to sleep!): a) Try out CallWeaver and Asterisk to see whether I can make everything play nice with one of those (which I'd rather not do - FS is my first choice, but a working bloated PBX is better than none at all) b) Use a VPN to the VPS to bypass the Netgear router all together, although this again isn't ideal because of the application I need the iPBX for. I'm pretty much in last-ditch mode because I'm spending so much time on this. :-( On Wed, Jun 3, 2009 at 5:51 PM, Nandy Dagondon <gcd@i.ph> wrote:
