Hello guys, I am doing some test in my FS box and I found it does not accept more than 300 calls. It is a 12 core E5-1650 Xeon server and I can see in 'top' that FS cpu goes to 140% (over 1200%). Once 300 calls is reached, FS starts responding 480 Temporary Unavailable: http://i.tinyuploads.com/to7Amt.png Do you know where the bottleneck is? I can see low disk activity, low memory consuption... Regards
You're going to have to give more details than that! What codec are you using?

Are you using proxy media ? if not you might want to set it to true so that FS is not RTP 'aware'. This will give you a boost in performance. It is a different story if you are looking for RTP manipulation / DTMF detection etc. On Thu, Nov 7, 2013 at 2:44 PM, Juan Antonio Ibañez Santorum < juanito1982@gmail.com> wrote:

How many CPS? 300 concurrent calls should be nothing to FS on that hardware unless you're doing a lot of CPU-intensive stuff like transcoding. 300 new calls every second would be more demanding though, and there is a (adjustable) rate limit on that. Hello guys,
I am doing some test in my FS box and I found it does not accept more than 300 calls. It is a 12 core E5-1650 Xeon server and I can see in 'top' that FS cpu goes to 140% (over 1200%). Once 300 calls is reached, FS starts responding 480 Temporary Unavailable:

Do you know where the bottleneck is?
I can see low disk activity, low memory consuption...

Is it a gradual rise in CPU? Not quite sure what you mean by 140% (over 1200%) Presumably 1200% is the max with 12 cores. So this is not CPU overload. Might it be a networking max sockets issue?
