append header when LOSE_RACE
Hi, I am facing a bridge parallel forking scenario where I need to append a header in the CANCEL send to the LOSE_RACE leg. Is there a way I can do this? Thanks, Stefan
Hi, Actually, what I would need is the CANCEL for the LOSE_RACE parallel bridged leg to contain the same header I've set in the INVITE.(not necessarily to explicitly set a new header in CANCEL). Still searching for this, without solution. Any ideas if this could be configured? Thanks, Stefan On Aug 10, 2016 9:02 AM, "Anonim Stefan" <fanx07@gmail.com> wrote:

What exactly do you need to append and why? On Thu, Aug 11, 2016 at 9:24 AM, Anonim Stefan <fanx07@gmail.com> wrote:

Suppose there are two parallel bridged legs. Using python application in an extension, I append "X-TO-LB:1" for the first one and "X-TO-LB:2" for the second one. I "mod_distribute" the INVITEs to my SIP server core that knows to dispatch to balancers based on that header value. Next, suppose leg 1 answers and leg 2 gets CANCELed. I need that CANCEL to also contain "X-TO-LB:2" in order to be dispatched to its destination(right now the CANCELed endpoint still keeps ringing because the CANCEL does not have that header). Note: "X-TO-LB:" is not for balancing purpose but for identifying the balancer responsible for the bridged leg. I want to do it like this in order not to keep the LB<->ENDPOINT mapping in my python script as long as the SIP core knows to do the dispatching. Thanks, Stefan
But what purpose is this tracking serving? There are much more efficient ways to accomplish this I suspect. On Fri, Aug 12, 2016 at 2:49 AM, Anonim Stefan <fanx07@gmail.com> wrote:

In my scenario, besides keeping dispatch info, no other purpose. In other, more general scenarios, I don't know. It's just how I've though of implementing it. I am open to suggestions. Regards, Stefan

I've figured out the issue I'm having; it is not related to having or not having that header in CANCEL; it's related to the SIP core accepting or not the CANCEL 'From:' Freeswitch. I shouldn't need that header in the CANCEL. Sorry for this fuss. Thanks, Stefan
