Sorry for the noise — it was the Privacy Badger extension in Chrome hiding all the host candidates. https://github.com/EFForg/privacybadger/issues/1099 It seems to be quite an issue with the way it sets chrome.privacy.network.webRTCIPHandlingPolicy Richard
