gen_mc: create Linksys certificates for SRTP
Hi, If you would like to test Linksys SRTP against FreeSWITCH then you'll probably bump into the problem of how to generate the required certificates as that is pretty much not documented. Apparently Linksys (Sipura) have an app called gen_mc (generate mini certificate) but they have not released that. I found a replacement on the Net, also called gen_mc. Haven't tried it yet and I don't know if the code can be trusted but maybe it's useful to others. The site where you can download the replacement gen_mc app: http://www.megajournal.ru/user/booBot/ Direct link to the file: http://www.megajournal.ru/journal/users_data/11049/msg_files/24120/gen-mc.c-... (after download, remove the mp3, it's just a tar.gz) Regards, Patrick

I’m pretty sure I got the conf right and I can assure you that the D LL is there.
Any way I can find out why it gave me this message?

When I comment this line out, it's building just fine (VC2008).

Yeah, I’ve incorporated both Carlos (pocketsphinx) and Royce (flite) great work. Carlos solution had a few problems I don’t know if Mike fixed and Royce solution doesn’t include the SLN build and file download. So I take it JIRA is the way to go. Good. _____ From: freeswitch-users-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org [mailto:freeswitch-users-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] On Behalf Of Brian West Sent: Monday, July 21, 2008 5:41 PM To: freeswitch-users@lists.freeswitch.org Cc: freeswitch-users@lists.freeswitch.org Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] PocketSphinx on Win32 Look on jira I think carlos has a pocket sphinx build up on there already. Looks like mike comitted that today already. I have it all installed on win32 FS and I can get the script running, hear all the wav ok but… can’t order a pizza! I get no speech recognition from the pocketsphinx or anything as if my audio doesn’t get to the sphinx engine. I think it can’t hear me. Anyone managed to get this scenario running on Win32? Any ideas how can I test this otherwise? PS Debug mode is on and all messages seems ok. Just like in http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_pocketsphinx but without the “recognized” bit… No virus found in this incoming message. Are you running the latest SVN trunk? Its all been integrated and works out of the box as long as the sound files and grammars are in the correct place. Also press F8 /b On Jul 22, 2008, at 2:09 PM, UV wrote:

Or you could simply go to this site: http://voxilla.com/tools/device-configuration-wizard/ which allows you to configure any of your Linksys devices as well as towards the top of the list you'll see Linksys Certificate Authority Service for VoIP Adaptors <http://voxilla.com/tools/device-configuration-wizard/certificate-authority-service-for-linksys-analog-voip-adaptors-808.html>which will generate and install the certificate on your adaptor/phone. You may have to register with Voxilla to use it but. HTH, \R On Thu, Jul 17, 2008 at 1:07 PM, Patrick <freeswitch-list@puzzled.xs4all.nl> wrote:
Hi,
If you would like to test Linksys SRTP against FreeSWITCH then you'll probably bump into the problem of how to generate the required certificates as that is pretty much not documented. Apparently Linksys (Sipura) have an app called gen_mc (generate mini certificate) but they have not released that. I found a replacement on the Net, also called gen_mc. Haven't tried it yet and I don't know if the code can be trusted but maybe it's useful to others.
The site where you can download the replacement gen_mc app: http://www.megajournal.ru/user/booBot/
Direct link to the file:
http://www.megajournal.ru/journal/users_data/11049/msg_files/24120/gen-mc.c-... (after download, remove the mp3, it's just a tar.gz)

Hold up there. Linksys does the srtp with an info packet which is totally sick and twisted way of doing it. I beat it out of a cisco engineer once and he sent me packet dumps of how it works but its so stupid how its does it.... the good news is I hear they are going to support the SDES standard. /b On Jul 17, 2008, at 2:10 PM, RR wrote:

Thanks but here's what that page says: "Important note: Do not use the mini-cert tool with Linksys/Sipura IP desk phones (SPAxxx), as it may cause the phone to become unstable. Should the phone become unstable after installing the mini-cert, users must perform a factory reset to recover the unit. Linksys is working on a remedy to the aforementioned issue and will provide an update / resolution as soon as possible."

Yes you have to register first. Regards, Patrick
